Someone took my putter at a women’s golf clinic.

By accident.

I am a left handed golfer and someone, who had the same set of clubs, took my putter and left behind a righty putter.

They would eventually realize their mistake.

But when I mentioned the inadvertent switch to two young golf employees nearby, their swift actions made it not necessary.

I figured they would tell their supervisor Mainland Golf Club. Or perhaps CAI Keystone, who was running the Ladies on the Links outing.

They did neither and instead proactively took ownership by going cart to cart, while the carts (35 of them!) were staged for our post lunch shotgun start. They located my lefty putter in a bag of righty clubs while I enjoyed my lunch and socialized.

First person resolution requires both a desire to solve a problem and empathy for the problem itself.

It’s also fun to be a hero.
