I got to see PINK in concert last month and I was blown away by the production, the technology, the sets, the costume changes. All of it. Most of my previous concert experiences had been with singers who just sang into a microphone. A one trick pony. Not someone who could dance, fly across the stage (literally!) and vulnerably let the audience in.
This was more than a concert with a talented singer. This was an artist and athlete wowing you with a plethora of talents.
PINK was also very real. She talked about her biggest growth area: leaning into her feelings. And she owned her mistakes, when she wound up on the wrong part of the stage.
While I certainly don’t have fancy sets and flashing lights, I realized that I try to emulate PINK when I stand before a room of participants.
I’m unapologetically real. High energy. I aim to pull you from your seats.
I engage you with numerous activities.
I motivate you with my stories.
I inspire you with my words.
I’m never stuck behind a podium.
And the best part?
It is much easier to get a seat in my audience!
