My husband’s annual fundraiser gala for work was at Citizens Bank Park this year, home of the Philadelphia Phillies.
I’m a huge baseball fan, (even a former Phillies Ball Girl from 2004 & 2005!) and the invitation stated that Jimmy Rollins, a fabulous former player from the 2008 World Series winning team, would be signing autographs. Plus, sneakers were part of the acceptable dress code. You could say I went in with high expectations!
After an evening of trotting around the bases, sitting in the dugout, visiting the media room and even taking a few swings from the tee where Bryce Harper and the other players work on their fundamentals, I was shocked at how my high expectations were exceeded. The evening was spectacular!
I have told so many family members and friends in the days that followed just how wonderful of an evening it was.
THIS should be the goal of every company.
Even when a customer has high expectations, to still be able to find ways to deliver an experience that is memorable.
What is your company doing to ensure you are exceeding customer expectations?
